Meet Our Team

At Openbook Home Loans, our team is built on transparency, trust, and genuine connection. We believe the mortgage process should feel personal, not completely transactional, a partnership grounded in clarity and care. With roots in Texas and a passion for community, our team approaches every client relationship with integrity, understanding, and the goal of making the path to owning a home as open and straightforward as possible.

Blair Katz

Loan Originator
Blair brings nearly 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, with expertise spanning operations, loan manufacturing, and team leadership. Having worked across every stage of the home loan process, he has a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver a smooth and efficient experience for his clients.

Born in Dallas and a lifelong Texan, Blair attended St. Mark’s High School before earning his undergraduate degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. Outside of work, Blair has a love for food, wine, and giving back, working to bring better lives to people and animals in the community. A lifelong bowler, Blair once rolled a perfect 300 game — a testament to his dedication and focus, qualities he brings to helping clients navigate the mortgage process.

Blair started Openbook Home Loans to create a mortgage experience that’s open, straightforward, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. He believes that everyone deserves a clear understanding of their options and the knowledge to make the right decisions for their future.
